I haven’t been here in awhile. Here’s what’s happening in my world:
- I photograph my first wedding TOMORROW! I’m way excited but a little nervous too. I’ve bought extra batteries, an extra memory card, borrowed my sister’s zoom lens (Thanks, Jen!!!), practiced a bit, and researched how to take photos in low light with no flash. I’m feeling pretty good. I need to spend a little more time this morning researching a bit more; things like posing wedding portraits, how to best take photos in sunlight/cloudy/etc weather. Trying to cover all my bases.
- Had a pregnancy scare last week. No baby. (That’s a good thing.) I have another post coming about that. Fun times.
- Bought pumpkin spice coffee yesterday. That makes my whole world good.
- My new blog is going well. I have two posts up and several planned that are almost ready to go. I’ve had two comments from total strangers! Now if I can keep ’em coming back… If you’re interested, follow it here.
- Bought a Halloween costume. I’m going to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. My job kind of requires me to get into this kind of stuff. I don’t mind. Too much. I wanted to be something that senior citizens recognize. I ordered the costume this week only to find out I had a friend who had a costume I could have borrowed. Shoot. Oh well. At least now I’ll always have a Halloween costume in my closet to break out.
- While shopping for said Halloween costume, I drove down to the local Party City. Drew said he had seen their ad and noticed they had Dorothy costumes. I went to look and unfortunately, this was the best they had.
I work with senior citizens. This will just not work. Of course, it was
better than the Diva Dorothy costume they had.
Because the first Dorothy’s skirt wasn’t short enough.
In the end, I found this costume.
I think this will be more fitting to wear in a senior citizen center.
I promise I’ll take pictures.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!
“Well bust my buttons!” Aren’t adult Halloween costumes ridiculous?
But seriously, I understand the pregnancy scare. I had one 9 months before my wedding. Yikes!
